Hi Neeti, you?re welcome! Finding teaching roles is easy over the internet, with websites such as TEFL.com and Dave?s Esl Cafe with thousands of jobs. In my experience, TEFL is more of a volunteering role in countries like Cambodia, Nepal, Philipines etc in South East Asia, India too, while the paid jobs are more likely found in countries such as South Korea, China, etc. Good luck!

Thank you for all the information Sarah. I am from India and have a Masters degree in English Literature. Planning to do my CELTA. Currently I work at a college as an English Lecturer. I wish to work abroad( South Asian Countries) as an English Teacher. Please advice how to go about. Neeti Shetty India

Wow great advice Sarah! I wish I had advice like this when I embarked on my TEFL career! My friend is seesawing back and forth about getting into TEFL and I'll be emailing her a link of your article! :-) Keep up the good work!

You're welcome! It depends on the school really :) summer camps can run for 2 weeks or hire you all summer, sometimes a school just needs a teacher to cover the last few months of term, but generally, schools in Europe hire for the academic year September- May/June and schools in Asia hire at pretty much any time of the year so I've experienced!
