we humans love to hear about ancient history and monuments , but they aren't always that great at preserving it thanks for sharing

Thanks Matthias! Yeah, but some travelers are so adverse to chatting to new people, it's such a shame!

Florence is such a beautiful city, every corner has a history associated with it and the artwork is unforgettable. We were there a few years ago and totally loved it, haha and like you said it did made me feel like I no nothing about art. So agree with you about talking to strangers, that is the whole point about traveling to a new city, makes for an even better experience. xx, Kusum | www.sveeteskapes.com

I love Street Art and all the beautiful photos you shared. This place holds so much diversity in art and architecture. Simply unforgettable.

That was such a great read and you told that story so well. It sounded like it was straight out of a Woody Allen film.

Thanks Stacy! Although smoking is a terrible habit, I have found that smoking generally leads to conversations with random people, people I then go onto travel with and make friendships with!! Also staying in hostels I've found is a good way to meet people on the road :) you're right, the experiences are much more interesting!
