I’m all for sense and sensibility, but Jesus, live a little. There’ll always be money (at least hypothetically) so go away, meet friends, SURPRISE yourself! Learn something new, TEST yourself. A few ‘lazy weeks’ soon turns into months and then a way of living… and before you know it, queuing up at the post office is the most adventurous thing you’ve done all year.
Lead an inspired life.
Keep a note of each adventurous thing you try. I’m no adventure-junky.. getting out of bed by 10, making homemade chips from sweet potato and discovering a new profound use of bicarbonate of soda all count in my book.
A gentle reminder to never push yourself over your limit. Not being adventurous doesn’t mean you are missing something, or faulty, or that it’s super necessary to change RIGHT NOW. No. Simply practice adventure. Slowly. Nothing kills the soul faster than mundanity.
*This is part of my 2017 project to recall the lessons life throws at me so that 23 won’t just be another year like the others, but one of contemplation and growth. What have you learnt so far this year? Do you have enough adventure in your life? Are you living an inspired life? Fuelled? Driven? What changes could/did you make?
