Short Expat Breaks: Paradise Island Resort

At just $85 each per night (1,307 MVR) me and Vicky (my lovely friend and colleague who teaches Chinese at our language school), took a fabulous 2-night holiday to Paradise Island.

At only a 20 minute speedboat ride from the airport in Hulhumale, it made for the perfect weekend break. We stayed together in a Superior Beach Bungalow and, despite the really bad weather due to the rainy season, we really enjoyed ourselves! With wide sandy beaches, swimming in the clearest waters, watching String Rays and Sharks getting fed, cocktails and karaoke… what’s not to love?
